Perhaps it would have been more prudent to sort out the 'legal stuff' before shipping the money...

No.  Last time, he was sure the person had already run off with his money.  This time he seems to think he's still in with a chance, but has nothing in writing to back himself up.

first of all, you need to get a copy of the business plan that was proposed to you.. I figure it looked something like this:

DEAR GOLDENFOXDOM,

I am contacting you today for a profitable business proposal. My name is WILLIAMS MBAH. I am the personal assistant to late Mr Muhammad El-Sahedi. El-Sahedi was an oil merchant website owner from Iran but resident in Nigeria. He carried on his oil and petroleum transactions website from Nigeria but exported to overseas. El-Sahedi died recently in Iran as a result of the earthquake that hit that country. He died along with his whole family.

Apart from being his personal assistant I was also his best friend and confidant. I was therefore in a position to know all his financial transactions as he trusted me. Mr Sahedi had a website which was valued at $40.5 million with a famous security and finance website here which I want you to help me build up to assist on the modalities of the financial development.

If you agree to assist me, I WILL GIVE YOU all the details of the transaction and the process of receiving the funds because you will act as the next of kin to MR SAHEDI. For assisting me in this business you will take 20% of THE $40.5 MILLION as your share and I will take 70% as my share while the remaining 10% will take care of the expenses we may insure at the process of the transaction.

You will keep my share for me till I join you in your country a few weeks after the transfer is made.

I want you to understand that I am not a dishonest man. I am only doing this because if the internet discovers that Mr Sahedi and all his relations are dead, they will turn over the website to government and this will not help me. Please note that there is no risk in this business as no relation of Mr Sahedi is alive today and the registration details of the website belong to me. When you transfer the money the website administrators will assume it is Mr Sahedi’s next of kin who is doing the transfer because I will provide you with his letters of administration/his yahoo email account to empower you as his next of kin.

It was when I LEARNT OF his death that I went to his room to search the internet to find a trusted investor. I found one in a concealed (secret) drawer in his bedroom. It said "please contact GOLDENFOXDOM for safe business transaction"

Please reply to this message soonest.

Yours sincerely,

WILLIAMS MBAH

Whats the site?
How long ago did you send the money?
If I was you I would open a dispute in paypal and tell them he never sent you the 'goods'
Paypal are very biased towards the buyer, they will reverse the transaction on his account and hold the money until he can prove that he is within their terms and conditions which I doubt he will be able to.

Unfortunately I think you only have 8 weeks from the transaction date to do this.

One last question, when you sent the money was the address fergus8@grimmedinyoureye.com
