YOU BET ON THE EUROVISION SONG CONTEST Shocked

Furthermore, with said financial interest, he may have actually watched it...

Mind you the quotient of miniscule skirts to unwatchable tripe was higher than normal this year.... Tongue

Now I don't want to appear a saddo myself. But the ESC is one of the great punting experiences of the year. Betfair traded just short of 2 MILLION quid on it this year !!! I had a modest result but some guys pocketed over 8k on it.

LOL this gets worse .... so what you are saying is...your girlfriend has been away, and when she comes home, instead of welcoming her with a bit of the old "bedroom olympics", you instead feel obliged to have a bet on, and watch, the eurovision song contest Shocked now thats just KINKY !!!!!

Greece, the ante post favorite

betting on the ESC is a bookie's version of bedroom olympics, obviously.

And another Yellow Card for Ironside. This is a good, wholesome, Forum. Dont taint it by answering Ironside's question about the Euro Song Contest. His fetishism for such trash disgusts me, & all decent, clean living folks. Meanwhile, while "his sort" are gorging themselves on unmitigated trash such as the Eurovision Song contest, programmes like "British Railways Steam in the 1950's" are rarely given air-time.

But now "owner" tells us that over 2 million quid was traded on betfair on the ESC. This is all too much to bear. What's happening to our country?

In my defence, special betting is my bread and butter. Have made a lot of money on Big Brother, I'm a Celibrity, Eurovision, etc over the last 5 years. Even used to write a regular column on it back in the days when blue square had regular columns. Also wrote for the Guardian online under the name Jack Urquhart.

Greece won, but the money was made on the Top 4 market....standing ovations are genrally underrated by odds complilers and exchange odds generally don't go too far out of line. My best ever bet was a few years ago when Denmark won Eurovision. Standing ovation, yet Hills still went 125/1.
