A friend of mine wants to get some posters for their gaff(i was gonna actually do this a while back) and frame them for the living room but doesnt know where to get them, ive had a look for them cos i wouldnt mind buying some for cheap myself now but i was looking on the net and theres a place that sells loads and the posters seem reasonably priced but then to get them framed from the same gaff is like £80 so does anyone know where to get any film posters in London, preferably cheap? and a cheap gaff to get them framed also?

I remember ages ago in Our Price in Woolwich when that franchise was still around they used to sell them, both with and without frames so do places like that(HMV etc) still do that?

My friends have got loads of ones they want but id just like a pulp fiction one for my living room maybe, any ideas?

Getting frames made is expensive, if it's a normal poster, just get a frame from Ikea or Cargo and you'll save a packet.

i bought myself a poster last year and the cheapest I could find a frame the right size (it needed to be custom made as couldn't find any big enough otherwise) was around £50.  Kinboshi had a good idea involving a piece of perspex screwed into the wall with the poster behind - might be your best bet.

Perspex screwed into the wall? You sure that's a good idea?

Did you get home safely last night Claire?  Was shocking on the A roads around Oxford, I thought I was going to die at one point!

I have used LeKnaves link as well. They are a fast company.

About five years ago, I was shopping in East Kilbride. There is/was a poster shop there and one day I noticed a massive signed framed poster of Ayrton Senna from the 1993 Donnington GP. Senna has always been one of my heroes. I asked the guy how much it was and he said £85. He asked me if I wanted him to keep it for me while I went home to get some money. Stupidly, I said not to bother as nobody would spend £85 on a poster. When I went back the next day to buy it, he told me it had been sold that morning.  Curse my luck. The guy told me it had sat in there for six weeks before being sold.

I know, it still irritates me to this day.  On eBay they go for a lot more than that.  I am not sure if it was a fake or not, it looked real enough.  I have various drivers signatures from touring cars and GT. I also have Jenson Button, Marc Webber and few others from their time in Junior racing series. I intended to get Hamiltons name on a massive poster when he raced in Formula Renault, however I went and bought a veggie burger from the van instead of waiting in the autograph queue.  Nowadays I am not all that bothered about autographs, however I would still like a massive poster of Senna or Lance Armstrong autographed.
