I've had a tez day today tbh.

I'd said i would play tennis @ 9am this morning with a non-poker friend called Ben.

I shouldve cancelled. I really wanted to play tho. Last night i was watching the golf and had 5 cans of carling. I'm not 19 anymore. Jones then persuaded me it was a good idea to get some takeaway food @ like 2am. I got a dirty kebab and burger.

It sure was a good idea [  ]

I got to sleep at 4am and got up at like 8 after 4 hours sleep. I felt ok but was slightly worried about my condition because obv we never ever have any food or drink in the flat, my options for breakfast was a) Beer or b) Beer. I elected to leave it.

I went to the courts and it was absolutely boiling this morning in Leeds. I played 3 sets and played ok, not great, but ok, but then immediately after the match i started feeling dizzy and sick.

I kept feeling like this and eventually was sick when i got home. I then went to watch the Leeds game, and despite playing well they got robbed in the last minute to lose 1-0.

Then i came to work to do my 3-10 shift, and immediately got involved in checking out which shrewd customers had backed which horses amongst all 9 bank holiday race meetings in Britain & Ireland. There were loads.

1 hour into my shift i had lost £600, with 0 winnars and about 5 2nds. Marv.

Marv day. I hope i dont have a collision with a much stronger car on the way home.

Ok, so for the third night in 5 now I have gone through the night. My body is ridiculous. I am struggling to sleep at the mo unless I just collapse.

I dont know why, but I go to bed after playing online/whatever, and I close my eyes, but everything is just going round in my head. So much going on in there for like half hour or so that I just get up, and turn on the computer again. Watch some tv or something till the morning before taking some proplus and getting through the day.

My sleeping pattern since Thursday has been :

Thursday, wake up at midday. Try to sleep at 4am, fail. Get up and stay up as I have to watch Rodney run the next morning. So I go thru the day and with help of a 1 hour snooze, I get to bed Saturday morning at 4am. I then sleep until 10pm. I play through night and cant get to sleep at 6am, so stay up again. This time until 11pm Sunday night. I then sleep until 7pm Friday night. And this brings me to now. I have to stay up again now, as I have a couple of things to do, then I have to play football tonight on no sleep.

What is wrong with my damn head!?

They don't make much effect tbh, but I get through the day, so I keep using them as I guess they probably do something.

Lucozade Sport is better IMO.

No greyhounds today mate. Only really bet on Oxford meetings unless there is tv on.

Oh without a doubt.

Also wish there was more/better greyhound sites for English racing. Including videos. But these aren't available for free.

Currently pay £25 pw for the Oxford meetings, Thurs-Fri-Sat-Sun.

Would be nice to be able to just get them online though.

As your body gets used to any drug you have to take more for it to have an effect - so always taking proplus will defeat the purpose.

Sugar/glucose will always give you a temporary lift.

If, for example, I knew I was going to be playing a lot of WSOP events I would give up caffeine at Christmas so that any coffee/proplus over the WSOP would work to the most advantage.

I get the same problema sometimes, this sounds all too familiar.

I blame playing till exhaustion, then insta-sleeping. You got too much stuff running round your head, you never sleep goot.

Here's a few suggestions that have helped me during my time as an online 'pro'. (I use that last word with a strong dose of irony)

1/ Too much sleep can be as detrimental to a schedule as too little. Try setting your alarm for 8 hours after you go to bed, and have something on the other end worth getting up for. (even if it's just Coco Pops)

2/ When you're exhausted after a grindathon, whatever you do don't insta hit the sack. (this is all too easy for me to do as my grindatorium is also my bedroom)
The problem here is that you'll get poor quality sleep.
No matter how tired you think you are, it's just tiredness from grinding, you will have a little left in the tank to walk round the block or something. Then spend at least half an hour winding down. Preferrably this is something not computer related, such as having a bath, or reading a book.

3/ If you ever have problems going to sleep try reading a book or something in bed. Books are great n stuff, but I can't get more than four pages if I'm lying in bed, even if it's a good book.

4/ For sleeping during the day, if you don't have blackout curtains, get yourself a sleep mask. jfdi, sleep masks are totally ftmfw.

Only problem with mine is I keep misplacing it and this puts me on monster tilt.

5/ If you have serious issues with getting to sleep, noise up SwordPoker (Mark) for some tips before you try anything chemical. A combination of sleeping pills and wakey wakey pills just ain't gonna be that good for you.
