I should start this one off by saying I hope my comments aren't taken the wrong way.  I know there have been some mixed results and not everything has gone according to plan and some will be hurting more than others. We all want to read stories of redic excess and youthful high jinx, but we also want to read about success.  Sometimes these events are diametrically opposed.

Pre Vegas, there were lots of "I  know it is Vegas, but i am going there to work.  Gym every day, healthy eating, no drinking, bed by midnight stuff."  I think most of us that have been to Vegas a handful of times know that Vegas is unique and all-consuming and that these admirable plans were unlikely to come to fruition.

Looking back over the stay, what lessons do you think you have learned for next time?

I think this an interesting post. I really enjoy this thread, but the above has a point.  Any thoughs Shrewdies ?

Gl Bink a big un

So Friday, our last Friday in Vegas.

Got up around the usual time, 11pm. Middy had plans to grind online but told us the internet had broke. I tried logging on through an unsecured connection point most likely next door, and managed to get on for aboutnutes. I did see however that Flushy was in last 25 of the PLO8 so myself, Middy & Rich ordered a cab and we headed down to the Rio to support.

By the time we got there he was grinding 3 big blinds! It took him about 45 minutes to bust and when he did we all fistpumped. Nicky and Barbara turned up just in time to see one hand, the exit hand. Flushy wanted to do some gambling now so suggested we head to the sportsbook at Palazzo so all 7 of us jumped in a couple of taxis and headed there. Hadn't been to this sportsbook before but must say its pretty awesome! Nicky Barbara and Tommy stayed outside whilst me Flushy Rich and Middy all went and watched the big screens.

Flushy started by having $100 on a crappy chariot race where he never got a sweat. I decided to get involved now and put $50 in, with his $100. He randomly picked the number 3. Off it went at 7/1 and it led the whole way only giving us a sweat when it tied up ridiculously on the final couple of strides! We oioi'd and Dempsey went up to collect our money. He was a bit confused when he came back though as we somehow got paid out at 10/1. Ship it! We had one more bet which lost before going to join the other 3 out in the sun.

We sat around for a bit and Flushy went to meet up with Dubai, while the 6 remaining - me, Rich, Middy, Shrewdie, Nicky and Barbara went to Valentino's in Venetian for dinner. None of us had been there but Trigg hadn't stopped raving about it since he went, so we figured it must be ok.

I ordered a cheese pizza for starters and Steak and Fries for the main. All I can comment on was my own meal, but the pizza was just pretty standard - American pizza's are not as good as English IMO - and the steak was not the greatest i've had either. I didn't come out raving about it, and none of the others did either, although it was filling enough so we headed out and decided what we was going to do.

Nicky got a call from Benji saying that they had just seen Copperfield at the MGM and Trigg was playing Blackjack so to meet them there. We weren't really dressed for going out so decided to go back to the house to get changed and then meet them back there, so me, shrewd middy and tommy jumped in a cab and went back to the house. Only Shrewdie came back with me as Tommy and Middy made excuses, never mind.

When we got to the MGM Trigg was still on Blackjack and Jones, Benj, Barbara and Nicky were all antirailing. I had seen "21" the night before on TV so for com I was standing behind Trigg for the next hour counting the deck, when I arrived they had just shuffled so I got to count from the start! It was pretty com standing behind Trigg while he is betting saying "+6" etc and doing the touching my ear or stroking my hair signs in the hope he got kicked out!

Trigg finally came off about even I think and we headed over to Craps and decided on $200 each, me, Trigg and Jones. Now before I came out I counted I had $740 in my wallet, and told Shrewdie this in the taxi on the way. Jones is also shrewd and knows exactly what money is in his wallet at all times, so when we look back at our chips and only see $500 worth we wonder why. They told us we had only put down $500, so we all double check, yep, only $540 in my wallet - Jones says his is right and Trigg swears he put in $200. They checked the camera's for us and came back to us 15 minutes later telling us that we only put down $500. We sigh and take the loss and just cash out as bad vibes on the table now we are $100 down before even starting.

The whole group headed over to Bellagio so we could play, drinking the whole time me and Jones just went in $200 each now and Trigg played on his own. Me and Jones managed to get up to $1900 at one point before dwindling down. We was all enjoying ourselves too with Shrewdie and Benji getting free drinks without playing. Funniest moments included chanting "Rhino's! Rhino's! Rhino's!" to a guy who was with his mates and was having a real good roll, and multiaccounting by giving Shrewdie a throw every now and again. The funniest though was when some guy stood inbetween Me & Jones and Trigg, he started betting the don't pass line while me and Jones threw. We was making it clear we was unhappy without actually telling him, so when it was his go me and Jones put $50 on the don't pass to his $10 on the pass. When he rolled a 6 we gulped and put $300 on the odds and started antirailing. His second throw in and he binked a 7! Me and Jones done some American football chest bumping and loud cheers and the guy grabbed his money and stood up the other end of the table! He would continue betting on the don't pass line though! He stayed there for about 10 minutes before changing to the other table after me and Jones started chanting, "Who are ya! Who are ya!" when we hit our numbers!

In the end we managed to do some back and came off $250 up each. Trigg wasn't shrewd on missing the coo tho and lost about $500, while Benji was fucked on the free drinks and telling the dealers randomly how he won the 100m and high jump at school! It was especially com when the dealer had to change table and Benj just followed him over!

Whilst ordering from the valet I noticed she had a $2 bill, I had never seen one before and didn't even know they existed so I offered her $20 for it, which she obviously accepted! Trigg then headed for the Roullette table which we obviously followed him to. This is where the nights earnings started to go!

I managed to do $1k of the $1100 in my wallet, Jones managed to do every penny, Trigg also did every penny. Everyone however thought I had done all my money so I kept quiet when they asked who had taxi fare in their wallet. Benj said he had a hundo and without anyone else saying anything he put his finger in the air and shouted "WAR!!" and marched across to the War table!

"Just one black chip please dealer, and put it there!" pointing to the betting box. The dealer then dealt the cards and we all cheered when Benji's $100 became $200 - and Trigg slyly robbed $100 of it off the table. Benji then went again and lost and managed to get his $100 off of an unhappy Trigg who didn't want to walk home. Benji then loses this and we are all loving it! Rich then reaches into his pocket and pulls out his last hundo! Trigg is begging him not to put it on but obviously it goes on. Obviously we lose and 4 of us walk away from the table chanting "WE ARE WALKING HOME, SAY WE ARE WALKING HOME!". Trigg is absolutely devasted right now and although I have $100 in my wallet nobody knows about I want to walk home for comedy value. Trigg jumps in a taxi saying he has $25 but we just tell him to fuck off anyway and start walking out of the Bellagio!

We get to Las Vegas Blvd and next to the fountains when we have the great idea of jumping into them! Me, Benj and Jones give our passports wallets and phones to Rich and promptly get in and start swimming round!! It was so funny, Benji got out as soon as he saw some girls watching and went to get kudos from them! Me and Jones swam half way across before getting out and having a laugh with some of the fans. We expect to be on many peoples facebook pages as everyone just seemed to want pictures with us! We then started walking toward the Rio knowing that the road we had to get on was around there.

We ended up having to walk on the slip road to the Interstate road where there is no pavement, which is never a good idea! We finally make it to the main road we was supposed to get to and think it'll be easy from there. Far from it, we was miles off still, just following this road which seemed never ending. It was made absolutely hilarious though by Benji grabbing some of the prostitute magazines and ringing the numbers. He asked for all sorts, and we walked past some hotels so he got one to ring him back and organised them to meet us at Staybridge Suites under the name Ben Smith. We obviously walked straight past but we was pissing ourselves because she said they were on route now!

We also walked past a fake horse, some train tracks which we got pretty funny pictures on when Jones manages to add them. We did make some video's, but to be quite honest some of it is a bit un-pc, so if anybody knows how we can censor some parts then please let us know!

After about 4 hours of walking, and seeing the sunrise, we finally saw our street, at the end of it we found a little kiddy car which u push from behind, so obviously Benji got in and I started pushing him the rest of the way, all the way to our back garden and into the pool!

IIRC $2 bills are supposed to be very unlucky, but that may be a slight case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted...
