I think it would be bizarre to call Palace the Suffix.
The team isn't from Crystal is it?
no - London

I thought we were gonna get all technical about what a suffix was.
Is a suffix not usually a part of a larger word rather than a word?
Also the example of a 'non suffix' was confusing.
I see. that would indeed have been properly anal but also entirely correct. luckily everyone understood in context. the example was indeed confusing, in fact out and out bizarre

... PS Gatso - Matt says Ham doesn't count coz they are west ham united - if they didn't have a 'united' then ham would count.

OK - Matt and I still can't agree on this. How about this one - is 'end' (as in preston north end) a suffix?
...
Technically I think "North End" would be the suffix. Again using the context of football clubs there's nothing to say that the suffix has to be one word/

I've either had a total brain-fart or something, but I'm fairly sure I answered County for this one. Can't get Sent PMs though on my end Then again, I may have thought County, but typed United . Out of interest, where did the definitive book sales list come from? Can't believe Harry Potter's not up there . Maybe your list is out of date? Edit: You enjoying yourself Dino?

You did indeed put County, i shall ammend. Apologies. I used a wikipedia list, you're right in that Harry Potter may have sold more copies (certiainly in comparsion to some above it) since the list was last updated. Feel free to find a bigger figure than that list quotes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_books
