Nice hand between Matey Boy and Sonny Jim.

Matey boy raises 3k preflop. Sonny Jim calls. So does Jeff Duvall.

Flop .

Matey Boy bets about 5k. Sonny Jim goes over the top for another 8.2k

Matey Boy thinks for an eternity then passes, even though he has another 35k in the bank.

Matey Boy asks for a show and Sonny Jim holds up pocket kings.

Sonny Jim builds his stack.

Anthony Nicholls is doing rather well - up to 46k or so in nice neatly stacked piles.

A dejected looking Ian Herbert has been spotted heading for the cash tables. I didn't dare ask...

And the gentleman next to Anthony - a Don 'The Thinker' Jones, we believe, who objected to just being half a picture and got his own portrait:  (he has 9,700, but the oddest hat in evidence tonight)

John Shipley went OUT just before the break.

He raised preflop to 1000 with AK and found 1 caller in Anthony Nicholls.

Flop = KT7

Shipley bets the pot, Nicholls flat calls.

Turn = 2

Shipley bets 2000, Nicholl's reraises Shipley's final 3000. Shipley throws his 3000 in and turns over his Big Slick.

Nicholl's shows his JJ and rivers a thrid.

Shipley drowned by the river. Ouch.

Junior is pictured here at the break with just 4,000, trying to hide from the camera, but I just checked on him and he's up to 14k!  I asked "what happened here?" and he said. "I got lucky" first of all with J 10 against AQ, which hit the A and Q only for the straight to appear, and then he raced to his second double up with JJ against AQ.  Looks a bit happier now...

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Camel is also OUT. Was very low in chips and threw them in just before the break.

Not a great day for Keith, but he's still smiling.

He did tell me that, earlier on, he passed Kings preflop to a Rock making his first raise. I think I believe him, but not 100%.
