Background:

I'm looking for a stake to play most of the Texas Hold'Em and assorted other events in Pokerstars' upcoming Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP).

As you can see from my scores at http://www.pocketfives.com/scores/sharplea I tend to play my best poker in the Stars DeepStack tournaments and I do have one FT appearance in these tournaments, eventually placing 3rd. From looking at the tournament structures that have been released so far, it appears that all of these tournaments are going to be DeepStacks and I feel I have an edge in these tournaments from experience. I have also added the low-roller Heads-Up tournament as I think I can progress well there, my past history includes winning the heads-up team tournament at Blonde Bash 7 and winning a 256-man heads-up tournament on Full Tilt (albeit a freeroll).

Stake:

I am looking for a total stake of $404.00 to be spread over the events below. For the rebuy event I have budgeted for a maximum of 3 rebuys and an add-on. Stakes can be bought in either 5% chunks ($20.20) or 10% chunks ($40.40) and will receive 70% of any profit at the end of the stake. Should there be no profit but money left in the pot, stakers will receive their percentage of what is left. I will not be taking any money from the pot unless we finish in profit.

Schedule:

Event 1 - NLHE w/Rebuys (6-max) - $25.50 total layout
Event 8 - NLHE 2-day - $33.00**
Event 10 - NLHE HU Match-Play - $16.50
Event 11 - Mixed HE - $33.00
Event 13 - FL Razz - $22.00
Event 14 - NLHE (6-Max) - $55.00
Event 19 - PL Omaha - $55.00
Event 20 - FLHE (6-Max) - $55.00
Event 22 - NLHE Main Event - $109.00

Total stake = $404.00

**This event may be missed dependent on if I make day 2 of the Cardiff APAT.

If you have any questions or want to buy a piece of me, then please PM me or post on here. I would prefer it if all transfers were done on Stars, but I can accept bank transfers or Tilt transfers. I won't be offering Blonde transfers as I don't want to withdraw without depositing.

I will update this opening post with % sold. If and when I’m fully sold out, I’ll be getting in touch with everyone who wishes to stake me.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers Kev Wink

I can't put up the $200 myself as I don't have a roll at the moment because of RL reasons and won't have for quite some time, hence this thread as I really want to play these.

Cheers - booked!

full stake for 60%.

Over 13 comps, with stakeback first.

It's not too bad a deal Kev.

The OPR of your MTT record isn't too impressive, (although it's a small sample size so you may well be a winning player.)

For this reason though, I'm out.

Understandable - I'm going through a nasty downswing on Stars at the moment which doesn't help. For a true reflection of my Stars stats, look at the year 2008 without rebuys (as I didnt play any).

Tbf isn't that just lets pick a period where i was winning and call that a true reflection. As tank said your sample sizes are so small that not a lot can be read into them anyway.

I am not a fan of staking people for mtts over the short term especially if i have to pay a premium to do so (1.6667 to 1 in this case) therefore i am out, but having said that i wished you the best in getting staked.

Errr according to OPR 4% of your comps in 2008 were rebuys.....

Even if we ignore the rebuy costs you show a 5% ROI, i don't see how you can charge 1.6+ based on a 5% roi!!
