It was a weak end to the series, better than last week and although it didnt have the big laughs there was plenty of smile humour. It left things quite unresolved and didnt go out on a bang, which makes me think the movie is going to do that for us.
Although he is the best character, Jays lying is getting too silly and unfunny (even though we all had a mate like that at school and presumably in Greekys case it was him
) . Neil was the best character last night.
Dissapointed by 2nd half of the series but it has been 2 and a half series of pure class, so will always be remembered as one of the great British comedies for me.
On another note, anyone else like Phone Shop? I saw the pilot and thought it was shite but might give it a whirl if nowt else better is on.

Similar thoughts to Barry, though the last 2 eps were the weakest they have made but still worth watching. It will deffo go down as a classic series for me.
Looking forward to the film.

i thought the first 3 episodes were excellent and just as good as first 2 series'
then i thought in the last 3 episodes it got too stupid, and infact some of the jokes they used were actualy copied from preious episodes.
still think the film will be epic and a great way to send them off.
although i kinda got the impression that the camping trip was meant to be the big send off

Why in the UK can we only make comedies that last for ~18 episodes when in the US they can make excellent comedies than run for 100+ eps?

They have teams of 20+ writers in the US for every show, whom they often rotate and get lots of new staff in each season, all of which ensures that they are kept fresh and don't go stale. In the UK we stick to the genius of individuals, which often makes the shows better at first but fizzle out fast.
So far I think My Family is the only UK comedy to try the American format and I think its a bleedin awful show, however the fact of the matter is the US has been vastly superior to the UK for pretty much all fiction for quite a long time now, so maybe we should follow suit.

I kind of meant why don't we rather than how is it possible.
So many great US shows that run for ages, such a waste of good characters killing off the inbetweeners, at least the US took on the office and has furthered all those great charecters.

It surprises me too, most of our sitcoms are shite these days but I think the quality of our stand up/panel shows is quite high - lock a bunch of them in a room to make a sitcom I say.
