Fair play to Greg, that he is man enough to take the beats, and still have enough savvy to be able to assess what went wrong.

I am still in awe of his performance at Walsall in Feb 2005.

A great ambassador for the game in which he has a huge future.

If you don't get to St Kitts this week, I hope to be able to catch up with you after Christmas, Junior.

Out of luck this time, mate, but greater rewards await you.

David Clark the 9th place finisher- winning £4,100 -

The final table shortest stack found an Ace, and went for it.    to be precise, which found an over the top all-in from Darren Grosvenor with his  .  They spiked the  but there was never a dangerous card for him, and our first final table casualty has occurred.  Down to 8, and the short stacks are now Dave Barnes and then Ian Woodley.

The blinds are 5,000 - 10,000 so there's quite a bit there to steal.  Back to tableside (where are the announcements Dani? Smiley    )

thanks Mike, you've been quiet recently! - was really hoping to do the double by finalling in this one as well but it wasn't to be - i made a terrible call at a time when big calls didnt have to be made and i paid for it by being out. - i'll not do it again :-)

maybe see you soon

go anthony nicholls - he took me out but he's a great guy and hope he wins it.

Boatman loses a few chips to Steve Wilsdon.

Board reads

Boatman bets 15k on the turn.

Wilsdon flat calls.

River =

Boatman checks.

Wilsdon bets 20k.

Boatman folds quicker than Ironside entering a lap dancing club.

Everyone folds round to Anthony Nicholls in the small blind.

He raises 20k.

Dave Barnes folds in the big blind and shows an ace.

Counts, then, estimated in part by none other than Tikay, fresh from victory (or was it defeat?) against the students...

Dave Barnes          75,000
Barny Boatman     220,000
Stephen Wilsdon  150,000
Luke Patten        125,000
Paul Traynor        630,000
Darren Grosvenor  120,000
Anthony Nicholls   343,000

Pic of Tranynor coming (he was the internet qualifier, so not surprising that he's not really been readily recognised by many)

If Anthony messes with the Poker table the same way he's choosing to buy a new car
they will have NO idea where's he coming from. A Nicholls is the Pro Motorsport Tourist.

Good luck I hope you win it
