Not been at the table too long, have no real reads on matey in this hand.  I think this bet on the end sticks of getting their on the end, or it could be a nut straight.  I can't see why he would still be in the hand on a fd only.  So if I'm right and he has the nut straight then we have got there on him, but does nut straight with fd on turn make up part of his range?

I really don't like this spot but I don't see how I can pass it.

As I look at it more I think I mangled it on the turn perhaps I should have check called again or maybe even check raised?  But is this plausible if the straight is in his range?  I think I am more concerned with the make up of the board to be honest, he could have anything having raised from the button.

You should care, this board is for hand analysis and not petty arguments. Please take this to PM's otherwise posts and threads will start being deleted.

He either has the nut flush or is a donkey. You probably have to call on the end but you should have folded pre and saved yourself some money.

Why hasn't this been deleted anyway?

It has absolutely no relevance whatsoever to the thread or the board.

This isn't aimed directly at you btw Flops just a general query to mods.

Given that you've committed 60% of your stack I'd say you have to call. If you were sat deeper and had played this small ball then you can pass but should've been checking the river.

I don't really like the call on the flop. Even if your nut card comes which would have to be a none diamond ace there's a strong chance your chopping with him on a freeroll to the flush. I much prefer to raise or pass. Your stack means that with 2 pair and a draw you should be looking to get everything in as soon as possible.

When you hit your heart on the turn I think given stack sizes it's time to get the lot in. No point flatting really just make a full pot raise thus committing yourself with your 2 pair / flush if it hits.

At the end I'd say your oppo is putting you on a busted flush draw. He could be making this move with air or possibly the nut straight thinking it's good. He's no reason to think you've hit a backdoor flush and you've no reason to think he has either for this amount of money in to this pot.
