A Rare thing indeed - praise for a Casino Chain

I've warmed more & more to Grosvenor Casinos, but not for the reasons you may think.
I belong to the "a smile is free, & goes a long way" school.
It may be that I just never noticed it before, but more & more, I notice the Receptioinists at Grosvenors are bright & cheery - in particular at Walsall, Blackpool & Luton. Wish I could say the same for those at The Vic, but maybe that's just me.
Here's Liz, from Walsall - how about that for a smile? And always "how are you", etc. Lovely. Exactly the same at Blackpool & Luton, to be fair. If only Coroprate Suits realised just how much a cheery smile does in PR terms.

...and the Cardroom Supervisors are pretty impessive too. Yogi at Blackpool, Carmel & Helen at Luton, Dani & Zak at Walsall, & this time I CAN include The Vic - Jeff & Jo & the other guy (sorry, forgot name) are just superb at their job. Not one of them EVER raises their voice, but they have excellent social skills, & have everyone's respect. And the moment anyone gets out of line, they get banned. Respect.
Before anyone gets the wrong idea - no, blonde do not have any commercial affiliation with Grosvenor.
Here's Dani, from Walsall. Not sure what's going off here, though.

Hi Tikay,
It costs nothing to give a smile, and yes ref the Vic smilimg has always been a problem for the staff there.
Good to meet you yesterday at Studentsv Pros, wont put the result up; leave that to you, if you dare.
Hope to meet you again soon at some poker venue.
Regards

My first thought was "rumours of John Holmes' death appear to have been greatly exaggerated!" Perhaps I should be worried?

Oh yes, BRIAN & STEVE, those are the two names I forgot, from the Vic. Good guys, both of them.
As to Kentishmans reference to a Students v Pros challenge yesterday, I'd quite forgotten about that, I'm so tired. I'll write up the details shortly.

Dani and Zak have proved to be a really great team in the cardroom.
Plus, they're nice blokes too, which always helps.

Well, all I can say is thanks!
as the title of the post says, it is a rare thing indeed to hear such nice comments; I seem to spend most of my life dealing with t'other type!
I will print out a copy of this tread and pass it to the staff you mentioned. They
do
work hard, long, unsociable hours and they deserve the recognition.
On this subject, don't you think the management at Walsall are great as well?
