Playing the afternoon $20 double chance on blonde.  Playing 19k or so and comfortable in top 4.  Blinds 150/300 w/ 50 ante.

Button has been quite tight since the first break, earlier on he looked a bit tardy and called off when we 3 barrelled thinking he was weak with AK on a T7886 board.  Obviously A high was good in this spot.

Anyway to the hand in question its our BB and we have QQ comes UTG +2 min raises and the button puts it upto 1500 and I make it 4200 folds back round to the button who shoves.  Now I was caught on the phone so was not fully aware of the action and as the wee iPoker timer starts to go and that stupid button noise oes in the background I'm stuck here.

Should this be a snap call or are we deep enough to pass here.  There are 33 left and 20 get paid.  If we loose this we are really short probs got 4.5k back if we win though we have 32k + and CL.

Looks like KK+. Especially since you have posted here :-)

I think you are deep enough to fold without any reads that he shoves light. When he does have AK here do you really want to flip for most of your chips ? Most people probably call but I don't think its a snap call.

I hadn't thought this far ahead to be honest.  I was pre-occupied with telephone call, I should really have been sitting out and away from the lappie.

I guess I am happy for him to 5 bet sove with TT, JJ, AQ, AK and kinda pray its a flip if I call.   But thats a pretty polarised range.  I think the reality is that when he 5 bet shoves its probably KK or AA like 90% of the time.  Althought I guess 4 bet small enough to allow him to shove.  I also bet small enough to get away from the hand.

With 49 - 50 bbs in such a good position, with no history of light 4 bet practices, id pass and wait for better spots

If I can be sure he has AK I am happy to take this flip on, infact I think it would be pretty gay to pass QQ.  If this was a big event then I am probably finding it easier to pass QQ if I think its a race.  This is a $20 donkament.  He could easily be 5 beting with TT+

This is important- you need to know what your gonna do before you 4bet.

I agree, I think I 4bet with the intention of calling a shove.  But I am not sure tbh. I think had I been paying attention at the time I would have been more tuned into what was going on and perhaps I could answer this.

I think perhaps that I got a bit caught up with the fact that for the first time in just under 2 hrs I was seeing a premium

Fckn Hilarious.

If you think folding QQ here is gay then there really isn't anything to discuss and I have no idea what you want folk to analyse.

4bet/folding here turns ur hand into a bluff which kinda sucks w QQ.

Also the 4bet allows him to play his range perfectly. He's not 5bet shoving JJ- imo, esp if u say he's tight. He may 5bet shove AK but i think his range has to be weighted towards AA/KK.

Anyone like a call from the BB? Its crap being oop but id rather play oop here against his 3bet range than call off against his 5bet shove range. I think 4 bet/fold has to be the worst line?

Anyone nit it up and fold pre as all the options are kinda meh?

This spot sucks sir.
