to be perfectly honest, why are u grilling here about what is an obvious typo? editors sometimes fuck up when things are being thrown around and when she finishes writing this at 5am i doubt her proof reading is always gonna be 100% spot on. Give ppl a break and grow up.

Seriously, why would you post this?

Stopped me from having to write the exact same thing. If what is said generally confuses you and you want to check certain things are right, that would be one thing, but even then you still wouldn't need to try to tee it up as a slagging thread for Vicky

It's the modern way, via the Internet-age, Karl. Knocking copy is so much easier & less testing than giving a little bit of credit here & there. Not nipping credit like, credit credit. Like "well done" now & then, as opposed to "you are a complete arse".

Read the Red-Tops - it's their trade-mark, knocking copy. Today's Daily Mail (the shame, I admit I read it!) was making a point about manners etc, & said "over 2 people in every hundred don't care about good manners". Conveniently ignoring the nearly 98% who do......

lol

They (newspapers) do that all the time with statistics - but I think that's the most extreme example I've known of.

As for the rest - completely pointless thread, that's why I didn't bother commenting on here or THM.

Why?

I was in the waiting room of an "emporium" or "parlour" of sorts, & the reading choice in the rack was The Sun, Mens Health, or the Daily Mail. Not an easy choice, that.

a lot rests on the pronunciation of the word 'read' in Tikay's post....

This is a poker forum, fair game to talk about a poker article.

Divide the number of chips in play by the number of seats available.
and
Multiply the starting stack by the number of seats available.

Are pretty different sentences, it's not just one typo.
While it may be obvious to you what the author means, it may not be to the target audience.

If it is a typo, someone enlighten me as to wtf she does mean.

At the start (assuming there are no rebuys), there are two ways of calculating how many chips you need. To work out the average chip count required to win a seat, divide the total chips in play by the number of seats available to be won. Or (even simpler, and this will sound like a no-brainer for anyone who’s good at maths but super-handy for anyone who isn’t) multiply the number of seats available by your starting stack. So if there are 10 seats available and you start with 1,500 in chips, average chips to win a seat will be 15,000. That’s your ultimate target, not first place.
