For this proof we must first state that ............ We're OK - the WHO have changed the name of this swine flu to 'influenza A (H1N1)' - which is nice.
Makes it sound more serious imo. A better name would have been 'influenza 007 (licensed to kill)'.

The WHO have just raised the panic alert level to Level 5.
I think Level 6 is 28 Days Later.
 I think they're wondering Who's Next? Probably also thinking that they Won't Get Fooled Again by a false scare. I am a bit worried as flu normally just kills old people but this seems to be affecting my generation. Bang out of order, that. Ban, plz. |

And an eminent medical expert on R4 yesterday suggested face masks are as near as useless, & 100% useless when worn beyond 60 seconds, unless they are the High-Grade Jobbies used in operating theatres. The face masks on sale to the general public are, he said, a complete waste of time & money. This was in the context of H1N1 avoidance, not routine hygiene. |
