It would help if it became the standard response from the TDs.  But unfortunately, it's not.

At DTD they aren't slow at throwing out abusive drunks.  Which is how it should be.

it is meant to be standard now in both the above

standard in all would be good though

atleast people will think twice before getting hammered at the table now

They sure will mate.

you dont think this will help?

No

why dont you think it will discourage people? if you was thrown out or given a penalty that costs you a few hundred or you seen it happen surely it will discourage you from going ott

I'm a semi regular drinker at the table (although I don't generally behave like a twat), after I've enjoyed my 6/7th pint do you really think I give a toss about any of that stuff?

so your in a comp with say 10k for the winner and your on your 5th pint and you are feeling a little tipsy
would the fact that you know the TD will you if you get out of hand make you think twice about taking a couple of slammers
and another few pints or will you just hold back a little and slowly down your next few pints over the course of a few levels

if its the latter problem solved as you are not likely going to get hammered and abusive and making the other people in the game wish they stayed at home

if its the former then you have a reckless regard for money as TDs finally sort out the problem

Not too likely to happen with that sort of cash invloved by me anyway. But I see it all the time in smaller comps, your absolutely right it should be enforced, but it won't make a blind bit of difference to the person drinking, once they are at the point where they are being a pain they are usually too drunk to think about the consequences.

but they will be removed which will help as the rest of the tourny wont have to put up with it for hours like i have had to indure in the past

I've seen people behave twatty after one pint

i've seen them behave twatty without a drink

i've also been hammered at a table but when drunk didnt abuse anyone and kept upto speed with the game
(anyone rember the first apat event in broadways?) the problem isnt the drink and thats not why the DQs were done
its the behavour when drunk hopefully the same rules apply when sober

Twats that don't drink are many. People who take 10 mins to make every decision. People who bore you to death about a tournament hand 2 weeks ago. Penalties for non-drinking twats should be considered imo.

well the penaltys were not for the drink but for being twats so hopefully they will issue some to twats that aint been drinking in the near future
either that or in the near future the twats stop being twats
