http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal#Etymology

Sadly, if we go by the biological definition of the word "Animal"...Kinboshi's right.

But from what I've read, if you fail Boshi you have to fail Mosquito.

Sigh, yes, have to agree with what I just read as well (wasn't disputing human though, bloody good answer Mr Boshi).

Animal Kingdom and Plant Kingdom - so mosquito falls into animal kingdom and is correct.

Mosquito – G1BTW (clever)

It is clever, but is a mostquito classified as an animal or an insect??

Is an insect not an animal?

Open to objections, links needed

It's so obvious no link is needed.

Whether to turn this quiz into a farce or not is your desicion.

Mosquito is an animal of course it is.

Humans are found on safaris and are also animals.

OBJECTION

Humans GO on safaris you don't LOOK for them so therefore can't find them

Does it say pick an animal you're going out to see?

Erm, no.  It asks for an animal you'll find on safari, and both answers are correct.

Also, you don't find hippos on safaris, you find them on deep-sea diving expeditions.

My thinking is that Human wasnt in the spirit of the question but I think I may let this go because if Boshi gets anywhere near winning then I can fck his life up in a later question

Mozzy and Human are reinstated as aces. Scores to follow

question was:

Name an animal that can commonly be found on safari in Africa

didn't say that you look for.

Mosquito and human are both technically correct answers (Dodegy QM question wording though so Fail 1 for QM he he)

Oh, and whoever states that insects aren't animals, please tell all what they are then.  Plants? Bacteria?
