thanks for your response's guys. i was just wondering if this was acceptable common place practice for how online pros behave. i for 1 could never believe that any on the ftp pros or pokerstars pro behaving like this on the sites that sponsor them, not without getting a serious talking to and probable end to they contract.
any way thanks agian probably find a new poker site to play on with better standards of behaviour. lol

I think everyone who actually knows me from live or online play knows I am a gentleman at the tbale, I am sociable and make as many friends as possible across the tables, and behaving like an ass, like i did is a definate misrepresentation of my character in general.
Cheers for coming on and posting James but i feel i have to comment on this. You can't just declare yourself a gentleman because most of the time you are nice at the table, you have to earn that title by NOT behaving like you did in the hand posted by the OP.

I respect your views of me guys, and i am taking it, I was in the wrong, and i accept full responsibilty. It is not like I am trying to disprove peoples perspectives on my actions at the tables, I have already agreed, what i did was wrong, all i can do is make up for it... If i was one of the people who did not know me personally, then I would take the view that i was an unnacceptable addition to the poker circuit too. Not at one point have i tried to defend my abuse, all I can do now, after it has been done, is be man enough to accept responsibilty, if that means taking stick from a few people, then so be it.
However you look at the situation, my apologies should be enough to end the matter, and the only person involved in the situation, Fishmonger, I have already spoken to, to clear the air... If others want to make a bigger deal out of this small molehill, then so be it.
I stick to my guns, anyone who knows me, and i do not mean 'has played at the same table at me once for a few hands', knows who i really am, everyone else will just have to get to know me to see the real me.

Tbf hero in the hand did say "cheers" unprovoked as he scooped, therefore I think a public stoning would be appropriate than breaking their jaw.

it was pure tilt, a steam, a vent of frustration, which straight after i left the table and chilled down, I knew i had madea big mistake. I think everyone who actually knows me from live or online play knows I am a gentleman at the tbale, I am sociable and make as many friends as possible across the tables, and behaving like an ass, like i did is a definate misrepresentation of my character in general.
wtf would you call the above if not a defence?
Unless by 'not at one point have I tried to defend my abuse' you mean that you haven't stated that you think it's ok to threaten to break someone's jaw.
That's good to know, but no prizes are awarded for holding such a position

I saw this and felt I had to say a few things as I've known James a long time and the guy certainly blew up, but haven't we all at some point and said things in the moment that we look back on and think wtf was that? There's no doubt it was out of character and who knows what personal circumstances may have contributed to it. Furthermore, it's also worth pointing out again that these guys know each other pretty well and have played together for a long time. I play on PKR as SoooSick and there is often some ridiculous banter between us regs. The fact that Fishmonger, on this occasion, took genuine offence and revealed it publicly was an unfortunate byproduct, especially considering James' new position as an ambassador for the site. But in my humble opinion this really should be put to rest now. The guy made a mistake and sadly intimidated a friend publicly, but they have long since talked this through and moved on. The fact that this incident has opened the forum for people to come out of the woodwork and smear a thoroughly decent guys name, for unrelated reasons, is a real shame. But for those impartial readers of which I'm sure there are many...take my word for it that I would trust this guy with my life and to form opinions on him based on a select chat convo from PKR and comments made by certain individuals on here would be a mistake. Just my two cents.

Jamie

The fact is "James666" was handing out totally unacceptable abuse on online poker tables a long time ago, as long as four or five years perhaps, on the Crypotlogic network. This was certainly not a one off incident as some are trying to make out.

So your mate is a pretty decent guy who is occasionally guilty of childish outbursts at the poker table.

Funny how sites engage double standards to suit themselves. I know of a player who was banned from PKR for threatening someone at one of their live events. So what they seem to be saying is that its ok for their pro's to threaten someone online but not ok for someone to do the same thing at one of their live events. Tbh I think both of them are in the wrong and should be dealt with accordingly.

pretty sure in reply to the 'abuse on cryptologic' that you have the wrong james... I hate crypto network, played there maybe 3 years ago, with a few bucks, must haveplayed for no longer than a few days before leaving it, and have never played the site, so i think this is another player under a similar alias...

I think it's pretty obvious that if you're sponsored by your site this type of behaviour is inexcusable.
I could see other sites dropping their pros for this sort of abuse.
Bottom line is if you are a professional player you should deal with things in a professional manner.
