Hello and welcome to the thread for what I hope will be a busy Day 1b of the Newcastle GUKPT

We'll be playing just under seven levels today to match the time played in Day 1a where the 14 players left were

So young Mr Banks comes up to me and we get chatting

"I had an intruder last night" he says

"Really?" I reply

"Yes, I was asleep in my room and I sensed that someone was nearby. I woke up worried and this girl had stripped down and got into the twin bed next to me"

"How did that happen, wasn't the room locked?"

"Don't know, it was locked but of course first thing I did was check my money and my laptop were still there"

It may only be 25-50 but that still doesn't stop a 12,000 pot being played out

Richard Whitmore limps for 50

James Browning likewise on the button

Robert Boon raises to 200 in the big blind, called by both

flop  Two Clubs

check check and Browning bets 500

Called in both spots

turn  three clubs

check check and Browning bets 3,000 called in both spots

river 

Boon bets 2,500, both pass

Whitmore shows  ruefully

Browning grimaces and doesn't show when Boon shows  after winning the pot
