Was asked to post this for the owner of our local pub who runs a poker league.

There's a guy who LOVES to make declarations and/or act out of turn on a regular basis.

Sometimes while the dealer is shuffling he says, 'I'm going all in this hand no matter the cards.'  He doesn't always act on his verbal and when it's pointed out that his verbal should stand, he says 'The cards weren't dealt yet, so I can't be held to it.'

Other times, he raises 5 or more times the blinds before it's his turn to act.  He knows it's not his turn, but thinks he's funny.  In this case if a person wants to shove before him, he knows his raise must stay in the pot so that's not a problem.  But the constant acting out of turn is putting many players off the game.

What are considered acceptable penalties for people like him?

Cheers!

don't think there's anything can be done about verbal declarations before the cards are dealt - no way should someone be held to that imo.

re raising out of turn, once he's done it once i'd give warning of a time penalty and enforce it next time he does it.  If it needs to be enforced, I'd then warn him that if he does it again after penalty elapsed he'll be disqualfied from tourney and/or barred from playing again.

A morning at the various Acton stations with Tikay, followed by an afternoon wearing a tartan kagool at Duxford.

Make him wear a dunce's hat and stand in the corner until he apologises.

Did you know there were 7?

West Acton. LU Central Line. Fabulous, my childhood station.

North Acton. For Acton Wells Primary School. The Paddington to Snow Hill Birmingham Branch of the GWR can be seen from the platforms.

East Acton. For Wormwood Scrubbs Prison.

South Acton. Richmond to Broad Street, Noth London Line, soon to be paert of Crossrail one assumes.

Acton Central. It's not Central at ball - it's technically in Ealing.

Acton Main Line. GWR. 'Nuff said.

Acton Town. District & Piccadilly Lines - a very busy "driver-change" Station.

Sacrilege. There's no other word for it.

It was, is, & will always be, North Acton. Is nothing sacred?
