Elgin (Scottish Gaelic: Eilginn) (IPA: /ˈɛl gɪn/) is a former cathedral city and a former Royal Burgh in Moray, Scotland and is the administrative and commercial centre for Moray. The town originated to the south of the River Lossie on the higher ground above the flood plain. Elgin is first documented in the Chatulary of Moray in 1190. It was created a Royal Burgh in the 12th century by King David I of Scotland and by that time had a castle on top of the present day Lady Hill to the west of the town.

Please note the use of the word "FORMER".

i do, thank you

It's own literature stillr efers to it as a city, it has a cathedral so suits dictionary defiinitions of a city and the class fotball team is elgin city!

and what's more Ironside will wake up soon, and we need to keep him quiet

That's wine bottle sizes not champagne bottle sizes

you can put champagne in any size bottle - doesn't make it a champagne bottle
Please see the Champagne collumn. If Champagne doesn't come in it it will say n/a

PICALO FAIL!!!  Objection Where I used to work a girl came in with a very small bottle of champagne and she said she had a picalo with her and we laughed when she preduced the bottle. She said she was given it on the plane. That is how I remembered it was a tiny one person bottle of champagne is a picalo!

She had one Picalo too many

Champagne Bottle Sizes (under the heading "The most technical Wine")

Other names for this bottle size include 'quarter' and 'piccolo'. If
you look up the definition of 'piccolo', you'll find the term a good
match for the size :

Definition of piccolo at Dictionary.com
"..considerably smaller than the usual size..."

Elgin's claim to City status is a very tenuous link to King David I dubbing it a civitas - which simply meant a town with a cathedral at the time when a city was called a Royal Burgh.
