I am curious as to what you guys think the best area of this gambling malarky is to turn £100 into £800 in a week. Is it best to study the horses for a week and try my luck at them, or is poker the obvious choice and hope the cards turn for you? I thought about betting big with the french open but this tennis is seeming a lot less predictable then I first thought....

penny for your thoughts!

cheers!

It depends on where your greatest edge lies?

Which area of gambling is generally your most profitable?

doubt you can learn horses well enough in one week to 8x your investment. Even if you do there may be no good opportunities to bet on in that week and you'll likely go bust risking too much of your roll to get to your target.

Play a £100 freeze or spin spin spin on roulette if you don't care about losing the £100 either.

I can hold my own on a poker table, but I struggle to keep concentration for 4 hours in a tournament. I was wondering if there was a sport which rarely has upsets but still gives profitable odds, I always saw Tennis as this, until both William sisters lost me a ton!!

I guess what im asking is what were all looking for, minimal risk, high profit..

job?

this.

If you aren't already into horses and know how to read form and all that you'd rely on luck more than anything. Although horses can be good you would need to have no fear and just dump the entire hundred on one horse (no matter what it's odds are) and then go from there....but you have to know what you're doing, really. Footie can be quite good but the season is over.

PLO spin up is definitely not low risk but a possible.

It's all gambling though if you do push a target like that..proper "spin up" gambling. There is no high reward, low risk way to go from 100 to 800..or everyone would be doing it.

This is funny. I reckon Patkai/Conduit double at Sandown tonight. The other option if you can wait a while is lay the draw in all the Ashes test matches.

Were you on Desert Creek, Herrera and Jimmy Styles last weekend? Follow the horse tips on here to sensible level stakes and you'll make money.

Desert creek pulled me in a nice little earner.... £500 would do as well, basically theres a holiday going on which is £320 for all inclusive, I probably was a bit optimistic with £800 but If I can earn this in a week then I can get away!

The answer is as Cos says, get a job so you won't find yourself in this position. Failing that and with time being of the essence, shortstacking 2/4 PLO would appear to be ftw, there's gotta be worse ways to spend you spend your last hundo.

BTW when betting on horses or Greyhounds or anything like that; Just because you want to make 400-700 pounds in one week, doesn't mean you have to bet on day one. The best way to do it is seriously pick your spot during the week, find something that could do the business for you and lump it all on. Don't try to have 5 or 6 bets in  one week because you're much more likely to end of bust.

Having too many bets is a massive problem for me, and most gamblers, as it's in our instinct to bet on anything that moves. As boldie says, you need restraint and picking bets is key - even if it means limiting yourself to only a handful of bets a week max.
