'Ok The offician stable list is: -

Dan Phillips aka Kinboshi
Claire McGregor aka Claw75
Matt (Claires other half) aka Matt674
Jonathan Nute aka nerVzzz
Jason Clarke aka $muszlez$
Malcolm Gorse aka Pokerfan
Mel Lofthouse aka Londongirl
Mike Miller aka Flungle
Bryon Greenhow aka Greenback
Fran Creed aka LittleMissC

Lee Williamson
Mukesh Kanabar
Charles Flynn aka Cf
Dave Penly aka Riverdave  - Dave may not be able to make it and therefore may be replaced by Leedsrhode'

Ok Neil here's my proposal...an even money bet....I choose 8 horses from the tournament to your 14 horses and whoever wins the most money wins the bet? I'll even let you take me a little out of my comfort zone with the stakes now you're so multaii.

I've had a few pms from people asking for odds on certain people which I'm fine with doing for the most part but will not give odds on Maria (I know not in Neil's stable), Fran, Mike Miller or KinboSlice because I'm rooting 100% for these guys to win the loot.

I would not have thought so Claire. Tournament Poker has never struck me a suitable betting medium, to be honest. The bookies must get a skinner 95% of the time, & the punters have sussed that. Picking the winner of a (say) 200 runner poker Touney, where very few players indeed have more than a very small edge, is not exacyly +ev for anyone. People do bet on it though, remarkably. Fools & money, & all that. Roulette probably gives better odds of winning.

the field is gonna be 90% donkeys. How can I give you 150-1?

I'm prepared to offer like 80-1 on those you pm'd me for, but has to be a substancial bet.

why do you say remarkably?  I think it's a good novelty market.  With the number of runners in something like this, it's anyone's game, and I can't imagine the bookies losing out often with the bets spread out over a large field.  I like having the odd couple of quid on a few people to keep some interest in the tournament once I'm on the rail Grin

Anyway, I'm having a virtual £2 on the following to win:

Matt, Maria, Dingdell and AndrewT.  When one of them scoops, can I have my virtual winnings paid into my sky account, or will I need to collect them from the virtual cash desk at DTD?

80-1 is very reasonable.  would just like to point out that those odds are considerably longer  than those I was referring to in my message above Grin  I'm not making substantial bets - as I said, just wanted a couple of quid on a few people - I'll just win myself instead I think Smiley

Because I'm not awfully keen on burning money.

But I agree, as novelty betting mediums go, it's perfect.

You can only buy chips at the roulette tables using your sky poker account and giving your blonde alias. Winnings will be paid to you via Simon Trumper's guesswork.
