Johnson is a good player that needs to be made to feel special, hence he blossomed at Pompey because he was first choice and grew in confidence, he wont do well in a team where he has serious competition for his spot.

He'll do well at Liverpool then

Especially if we sell Arbeloa to help fund his signing.

Personally, I hope we sell Dossena and Lucas to help fund it.  Babel can go as well imo.

His England performances last week would have had a lot of managers reaching for the phone.

is that all of your transfer kitty spent now?

I don't think the cost will be anywhere near £17M.  We're stilled owed for Crouch, and with the wheeling and dealing, it'll probably be nearer £10M.

We should still have a little more to spend apparently.  £25M on Tevez would be good Wink

Not sure that Tevez is a good fit for you. Where would you use him, bearing in mind that if he moves it's for regular first team football?

Also not sure you have another £25M to spend, although who knew that Real had £140M and rising?

You cant get too caught up in the cash side of it though surely. You are owed 7m from Crouch, if you pay 10m and cancel the Crouch money it has still cost the club 17m.

Stadium move must be well and truly on the backburner? The top four must now be operating with full CL money included in their plans. It will be very interesting if someone can break a place or two into those in the next two seasons - obviously its not that likely that they will, sadly. Credit to replace that loss in income doesn't seem to be there given their current loan problems it seems.

As stated on here we're owed 7 mil from Crouch and Dossena and Arbeloa are off making it very little from our budget being laid out if any. Degen will deputise when he gets fit.

Lucas to stay IMO - the young lad from Hansen did good in the second half of the season. Mmm bop. Babel to get one more year I think, mainly because Silva doesn't want to come to us - which is a shame lol.

I think it's pretty widely accepted among Pool fans that we're not on Tevez's list of team to go to as he had a good relationship with Man U fans.

Secondly Kia Joorabchian doesn't want payment over 5 years for Tevez like we've offered.

I think we still have money though. Recent financial reports would have been known to Rafa and the board long before this summer's budget was set. Also, after sales I think the £10-11m outlay for Johnson will be recouped.

If this really had anything to do without why would he go to city other than the 140k on offer ??

Fair one. I think paying £25m in one payment might help his agent/owners persuade him to go though. Also he wont have to move house! In fairness if he stays in England he's going to be hated at Pool, Citeh or Chelsea.

That aside I think he'll stay at Man U anyway, mainly as after Ronaldo's sale it'll be hard to justify not spending the £25 million they want. He'll get the games he wants now too.

We have signed an Exeter player (Matt Gill) and some Swansea reserve (Tudur Jones).

Hell at this rate we might avoid relegation, FML.

OTJ is a good footballer, but has had several bad knee injury's, would easily be playing top half championship football if fit and healthy...
