Only reason Chelsea didn't win this year was because Essien wasn't in the team at the start of the year.

This year we will blitz the Premiership. I'd take bets that we'll finish 5 points ahead of UTD.
Interesting. @ What price ?

+1 I am still rather doubtful that Chelsea will get their summer targets (if they actually have any that are realistic) and Ancelotti definitely doesn't convince me.

Baron, what do you think if Liverpool went for Robben and what sort of price would Real let him go for?

I have heard talk of Agger playing at LB this season, would obv be happy if we get a good price for Dossena.

Id like to pick Kevin Nolan up he would be an upgrade from Lucas for me and at 2.5m would be good value.

Still think we need another striker i think Owen would be a bad move

At stages last season Robben was the best winger in the world. I'd love to go for him even if he is injured once every ten games. We're not after any Spanish based players though unfortunately. You could probably pick him up for £15m.

I know Agger can play LB but he's an awesome ball playing CB. For me, especially at home vs those who park the bus he should play CB. Insua will be our best LB in a year or so. Aurelio for the big games right now. Long term at the back is Agger and Skrtel.

Nolan is not good enough for Liverpool imho. This is probably true of Lucas as well but there is genuine belief amongst our dressing room and fans who go to melwood regularly that he can do well in a red shirt if he beefs up. From comments I've read from his fellow midfielders and from Rafa I do believe this is much more than backing one of their own.

Owen just wouldn't fit into our side now. We've got good strength and pace throughout the side as well as some good football. Unfortunately Owen is now just a poacher.

I'd like a bet you wont win it and finish 5 points clear of 2nd place whomever that may be. Evens?

So the bet is Chelski to win the PL with ManU in second? Or Chelsea to win the EPL and ManU to be 5 points behind in any position.

No, because then I could lose if Chelsea beat Man UTD by 6 points but Liverpool came second or Chelsea beating Man Utd by 5 points but Liverpool winning the league etc...

Basically as I said....I think Chelsea will win the league this year.

I am willing to bet that Chelsea will finish 5 points ahead of Manchester United in the forthcoming season. No more to it than that.

Don't want to do small bets either. I want it to sting.

Ah OK...that's explains it (I didn't understand why someoen would take evens on a Chelsea to win the league, ManU to be 5 points behind Chelsea double.)

So just to double check - if Chelsea are exactly 5 points in front of Man U at the end of the season do you win the bet?

And what sort of amounts you willing to take?

tevez has gone, ronaldo gone. i just can't see utd winning the prem next year.i would not say for certain liverpool will, but the man utd team ain't what it once was.
van de sar, not bad but he's no schmicheal
o'shea, average
neville, past his sell by
evra, quality
ferdinand, quality
brown,average
vidic,quality but makes mistakes
fletcher, average
carrick,average
scholes, over the top
giggs,over the top
park,overated
berbatov,prima donna
rooney,ugly hothead
have i missed anyone?
not bad at the back, midfield has nothing. they need a cantona, keane type in there, up front they need to spend. i can not see them winning a raffle next year. fergy should have retired at the top. the way real are spending they have the champions league sawn up,liverpool should win the prem, the fa cup is up for grabs.
just to clarify, i'm a rovers man, i do admire good football, just can't see man u playing any next season

you should be a soccer pundit on setanta..

Yes I would win the bet.

What sort of amount do you want to bet? I'll most probably take it.

Anything up to £1,000 will be fine.

Only thing is as we dont know each other do we just go on trust - or ask someone to hold the money for us?

Let me know what you think?
