My boss is just arranging this.

1. He's been told 1 or 2 weeks with your feet up - and you can't drive
6 weeks for the full recovery

2. Also he's been quoted £837 for both knees - so wtf are you going?

I had mine done two years ago after a misshap playing footy. Did the trick and sorted out the crap in them.

Went with NHS and from referal to op was 2 months. I was up and about a week after on crutches. Back at work and walking about two weeks after the op.

The swelling for the first week was the problem, so feet up and icepack 24/7

Did lots of leg work for 2 months and playing footy 3 months afterwards...Although for me I took about 6 months to feel normal again.

going into hospital on thursday for MRI results so will know then

Had this done a couple of months ago. From MRI to op was 2 months on NHS.
About a week properly on crutches and a week just using one to be safe.
Driving is the most difficult thing but as i was able to work from home i didn't really attempt it till 4-5 weeks after but it was still uncomfortable. I only started working in the office again after 7 or 8 weeks.

Pffffffffff, take it you are all males. I had this done last last Friday at 04.30 am, out of bed by 5am, OK a little painful, drove bread van to bakery and delivered bread on way home. Milked the cows, fed the sheep did the washing and had it hung out by 9am in time to wake up Darren to wash him  and dress him ready for his full English breakfast I had cooked and had on the table like any good wife would do. I did have a sit down around 10 am mind to have a wee. Then onto do rest of womanly chores before I started my late turn on the Train.

Should be okay then, my rugby captain had his done a few months before me and he drove his automatic after a couple of weeks.
