Starts at 2750.
6000 - 2750 = 3250 profit.
50% goes to MC for his time, leaves 1625.
1625 * 0.05 = 81.25.
Original stake = 137.50.
Total returned = 218.75

Just another completely different figure

Lol, I was using a starting roll of $3000 for my calculations cos that's what I originally had in mind.

Scotty, you're assuming I give 100% of my profits away with that calculation!!! Bongo has got it right...

Great start, was feeling the pain of the two 5th places til I binked a 90-man (sweet!). Going out later so this is all I will be able to manage for the day (blatant "I'm going out" brag tank? lol)

Obviously this is above expectation, so expect variance to hit in, but still nice to start positive!

Starting bankroll: $2750
Current bankroll: $3232.60

Sorry you missed out George.

Cos thought I should post this up...

Cos says:
 yo
how did first day go atkinjames
James says:
has been going sweet until this 16-match baron run I've just had
so sick when you can't win a hand
pretty hard to deal with getting fucked over on several different tables repeatedly but i guess that's something i'll have to get used to
Cos says:
 ridic varianceaments
James says:
 yeah man
 $3467 the roll is at
 which is actually above expectation
so shouldn't complain about running bad i guess
need to think of it in terms of like $5 a game I play and ignore the swings
basically all the good players have between 15-45% ROI, 20% being pretty much the standard
 20% ROI is like $5 a game
Cos says:
what did the roll start at?
James says:
 $2750
Cos says:
so thats pretty sick isnt it?
James says:
yeah lol it's pretty sick, 56% ROI
Cos says:
u win a couple of games yday?
James says:
 yeah binked a 90 man
it's def promising man, i think i can make more money than i do at heads up
and i think i can play more games - because bar the  horrible variance, they're kind of enjoyable
think i've played enough to know i'm not just running good over the last coupla weeks
Cos says:
just make sure u take breaks when u get fed up
 but well done man
 good start
post this stuff on the thread
 will help motivate u
everyone will give u well dones etc
James says:
yeah man, cheers... the 5 minute breaks on Full Tilt are really beneficial
and i'm stopping this session after 16 losses cos I can't take the pain lol
Cos says:
 lol
James says:
 only 942 games to go!

As mentioned, went on such a sick run in my second session, I think I won about 2 all-in showdowns in 16 matches or something. I was perhaps being punished for potentially not making the most of a couple of final tables I made earlier in the day Sad
