through the hotel lobby where a wedding was taking place.

Hiya Ang
Sorry you couldnt make it, but i just got back and had a fab day, as did all the broadway staff who attended and we will definately be coming again.
I wasnt actually chip leader, it was one of our cashiers (who had never played live before) who got a dream table with Yogi,Ginger and flushie dealing in his rather strange costume lol. I was officially the first blondite to be knocked out i think after being done by one of my own staff grrrr.
Really good to meet all the blondites in attendance, Robert with his shaven head, Trace and her wonderful costume hehehe as well as quite afew others. I had to leave early as i hadnt slept in 2 days and the beer was starting to work its magic. One broadway lad made the final, not bad considering we were the first to arrive and yes we had the bar open at 1030am lol.
Congrats to you and Davey (who looked knackered) on arranging a great day and raising a good deal of cash towards a fantastic cause £5000 wa sraised by the comp itself
Oh and i forgot to pick up a direct debit form so can u send me one??
also yes i brought Simon trumpers Ashes 2003 tshirt and davey said he'd sign it, so Aces next time your in Brum bring a pen lol

I owe a very large apology to Angie - I promised to keep her updated - but got so engrossed in what I was doing that I kept forgetting. I AM VERY SORRY hun. I had quite a nice stack of chips till our table was broken up and I ended up on Robert's table - the great big bloody My first EVER P4C tourney and I was doing well, then along comes Mr Spoilsport and wrecks all my fun - leaves me with one sodding chip! All in blind next had, I couldn't even be bothred flipping them over, so someone else had to do it and bye bye Trace. I think I was engrossed in texting Ange about Robert's fishy play at the time lol I thoroughly enjoyed myself up to that point lol No only joking I had a fantastic weekend. Ange deserves a medal for all the work she put in behind the scenes and Dave deserves one equally for all the hard work he put in on the day - not an easy thing to do on your own! Love to see you all again. Trace xx |
