Starting tonight at 8pm, Sky Arts( channel 256) is giving anyone an hour on the 4th Plinth in Trafalgar square to do what ever they like.
People have been applying since February this year , and 2400 people have been chosen , not by audition, but by their location in the country,
to do what ever for an hour, 20 ft in the air on the plinth that is about 10 ft long and 6 ft wide.
The show will be live on the website oneandother.co.uk
It runs 24 hours a day for 100 days .

Leading British artist, Antony Gormley, today launched his nationwide work, One & Other, by inviting people, aged 16 and over, from across the UK to participate in the creation of a unique living monument on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. One & Other will run for 100 days from 6 July – 14 October 2009 and will involve 2,400 people from all over the UK who will stand on the plinth for an hour each. oneandother.co.uk |
