+1 He had an amazing season with WestHam and i always thought he came across really well as one of the better puntdits on the box. Hofefully he can pull thru.

Very sad, loved him when he was a Gooner. Tough guy though he can beat it.

Always came over as a true professional. Wish him and his family the best of luck.

I thought it was a level. I loved Big Bad John as a player for Celtic, but would never have called him a true professional - doubt if even he would, he's been fairly honest about his faults. I just hope the big man gets through this OK.

I really hope the big guy can pull through, he's a tough character and I hope he fights this terrible disease with the same spirit he showed on the field.

I wish no ill on nearly anybody.
However Hartson was a dirty thug who didn't show much sympathy for some of innocents he assaulted.

I wish him all the best, but why exactly does this make him a legend? The exact opposite in my view with regard to this episode as on you tube. Though as I say, hope he recovers fully.
