For a poker player probably when WSOP is running which is June. As there are festivals running at the other casinos to tie in with the series at lower buyins.
Problem with that time of year is that it is summer and it is ridic warm in Vegas, whereas if you go in say March/October the weather is a lot more pleasent imo.
Tbh going to Vegas anytime is awesome, I have just been on a quiet weekend in Jan and it was still great.

Hotel recomendations for a noob? Shared a table with Laurence Gosney in Leeds a month ago and he was saying somewhere did wsop structures for less buy ins but forgot where? |

Depends how much you want to fork out and how much you give a crap about having a nice room in a sweet hotel. I have stayed at Venetian on the poker rate $99/nt (119 at weekends I think) but you have to play quite a bit in the poker room for that and last time at Planet Hollywood which I liked.
Bascially stay in the middle of the strip as location wise it is the nuts, you can deffo underestimate how far it is to get to places in vegas if you stay in a bad location. Then just look at what it is within budget.

November - duke, me, joobs, MW, Laxie, technolog and another 15odd people supposed to be going. 17th - 24th. And there's a wedding in the middle of it. And my Duke-organised stag do. Get it booked. |

What hotel u staying in mate? Haven't booked yet. Gotta book the flights first. Duke is staying at Imperial Palace...but I wouldnt recommend that for a newbie. There's a massive thread on APAT with loads of tips. Or just PM Paullie_D on here, he's a Vegas Travel Guru. Or Simon Galloway. |
