Not what we want to see happen to a casino offering poker. Still, the G are probably secretly happy..

I'm a bit baffled, is the hotel near a casino?

The Paris is one of the old school Casino's in Blackpool that has only in the last year or so started offering Poker again. They had a cardroom with approx 8 or 9 tables and have games 2 or 3 nights per week, I am not sure if that included last night. They also have some pretty heavy cash games, or they did a few months ago as thats how I became aware of the place.

The games are donkathons and rebuys for deep pokets, but the cash games I have played there have been insane including Dealers Choice and a localish game I had not heard of called "Shifting Sands"! I only played a few times but was a solid 4 ooo's up in those few visits, gutted its gone before my next visit as they hammer you for every cent at the G!

Such a shame, if I remember right the owner/GM was a friendly old school man called Pierre?  Sad if it cannot be a literal Phoenix in a few months time...
