Down to three tables and play is already much slower than even half an hour ago

Soon (with apologies to Martin Green) they will do a draw to find out how many hands to play to the conclusion of the night's play

This year the gukpt organisers introduced a system whereby on the last level of each day's play, with about 15 mins left, they draw to determine how many hands each table will play through to close. The idea being that all tables play the same number of hands and no one particular table can stall and play very few hands to the close

This system has attracted some debate.

Nick Gibson raises to 2750

Arash Toofan (luton player, regulars would know him if they saw him) calls.

Steve Watts makes it 4,000 more in the blinds.

Nick folds.

Arash folds showing A-K. Hmmm.

Steve shows 8-9

Aurelian Chirileci doubles up Nick McLlelan. Board read Q-10-3-6-Q and Nick pushed the river, with QJ. Aurelian called and mucked
