tikay - an apology.

I played the Notts £200 last night - nice comp - but an unfortunate occurence went off during Level 3. To the poor guy in Seat 1 - never seen him before, but lovely chap - I apologise for the misunderstanding that arose when I picked up QQ.
Naturally, I Raise it up to 1k (blinds were 150-300) but Seat 1, the Table Calling Station, smooth calls me.
The flop came thus......
Not a bad flop for QQ, it has to be said. I take another look at my beautiful Queens, just to be sure, but it appears there's been a bit of a mis-read - I've actually got
.
Hmm, what to do? Well, I HAVE hit the flop, or. more correctly, caught a bit of it. I really don't wanna check this down & have to show the hand - I KNOW he'll call any pot-sized bet, he does it with any 2 cards.
Clearly, I need to move in here, to get rid of him before he hits his rag A or whatever, so I make a massive overbet - about 8k, "all-in" I say confidently.
To my dismay he beats me into the pot.
Now I DO have a problem. I can cope with blowing my stack away, but I'm gonna be having to show my hand now........
I hesitate. He turns over, wait for it......
That's THE NUTS. And I've now gotta show my 7-2.
I slide a little lower in my chair, pull my cap down over my eyes, look down, & embarrassingly flip over my 7-2. Gasps & howls of laughter all round. Yeah, very bloody funny.
The turn is dealt.
Then the River.
I dunno what to say to the poor fella. All I can say is that it was a pure misread. I must have looked at the same card twiice.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Was this not a mis-deal and a split pot? Was the cardroom manager not summoned over and reprimanded for supplying a deck of cards with two
in it?
or was that another mis-read??
p.s. if they called an all in bet with 2nd pair no kicker and gutshot str8 draw then they deserve to lose, no apology needed!!
<post edit comments> now that the original post has been amended please ignore lines one and two of this post as only line 3 now applies. And NO MONKEY HASN'T BEEN AT THE BANANA JUICE AGAIN DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS!! (before anyone asks)
<2ND POST EDIT COMMENTS> now that the entire original post has been retyped - please ignore all of my replies as now none of it has any relevance to any of the above!!!!

There are many one liners that can be inserted after this quote all that revolve around Brian's ability to WIN with rags and....... well no, i'd better not - i'm only one
away from a 5 tourney suspension......

Isn't there a misread in the title too? You make it look like you're apologising to yourself...

as monkeys don't make good sailors - most of us suffer from sea-sickness even on small barge trips (probably not many of you know that!!) so the warning has been heeded
out of curiosity though - where are the origins of that saying? surely as a sailor it is a good thing to be sailing close to the wind as it would mean you are being propelled at a faster rate and yet the saying implies that only bad things will come of it? (told you monkeys dont make good sailors!)

He called a 1k raise preflop, out of position, with T9o no apology needed. You lead in to the pot so stuff him!
