Folding cards and discussing them during an all in...
«

So Im losing in a tournament and find the last spot where I can excercise any fold equity against someone who raises almost ATC....I push OTB and I then get from the SB "I fold, but can I keep my cards", the BB says the same "I want to keep this hand here" and a guy who limped UTG makes some other comment..the raiser then calls (I think he was doing this anyway, it was a pretty bad/superuser call). Just wondering whether I should have asked for a ruling there and then...I didn't want to say anything because I was holding absolute junk, but the guy who raised could easily figure he may be drawing more live than me if he puts me on AJ and everyone who has said "I fold but I want to keep this here" are the type who value hands like AJ....ive seen this type of nonsense in pub games before but never in a casino...

This is just shocking ettiquete and players shud be shot for doing this! This is obv a self dealt tourney as the dealer shouldnt proceed untill their hands have been mucked! If this is a dealer dealt table then the dealer should be shot!!
Why do people wanna keep hands just to prove they can fold a hand like A 10 or a small pocket pair!

Agree with you, but the damage has already been done with them declaring their desire to play the Bullyseye game; "Look at what I could have won" and hence giving the information to the initial raiser.
Sadly there's nothing that can be done here to make the hand play out fairly, but certainly you should complain and a decent TD should be giving them a verbal warning (or sit-out if it's a repeat offence).

Absolutely.
You see the same idiots doing it time after time, they wanna medal for folding A-T or somesuch, "look what I folded". I saw a geezer rabbit-hunting at Luton last week - grabbed the deck & looked at the 2nd card down! Dealer never said a word.
Have them shot, I say.

Yes - you were at the Table, though I don't know if you were in the hand.
The rabbit-hunter was one of the most experienced players around.

Fair enough peoples hand should go in the muck when they fold and not kept at their side but people can say what they want about their hand as long as they arent telling everyone exactly what they had.
Its all info, esp after the hand when they tell everyone what they had. Would you prefer to play a rock who doesnt say a word or show any emotion?

Ermm, no they can't. If you're in a hand you can say certain things. If you're not in a hand - you don't talk about it until it's over.

Yep, it was me and experienced player. He wanted to see if he hit his gutshot.
