I remember reading that he often clocks sub-12 seconds 100m during his last laps. That's also pretty impressive.

I reckon it just shows he's a slacker over the first few laps.

Incredible to see that of the women's track events in the Moscow Olympics, the only ones which have been broken in 20 years were by the dodgy Chinese athlete Wang Junxia.

good site

Fascinating that of the 10 oldest world records in men's track and field, 8 out of 10 of them are field events; while of the 10 records that have been most recently broken, 9.5 out of 10 of them are track events. (The decathlon being the 0.5)

A few of the fields events also go back quite a long way to a time when they could be dodgy, especially as many of them are by eastern block athletes.

edit- whoops posted at same time as you tank

In the last 50 years there has only been 5 holders of the mens 400m world record.

The 12 fastest 400m runners ever are all from the USA.

Wonder what Bolt could do...

But since then times have been run that were faster than the previous record - so they would have been world records if the cheat's Chinese runner's time was discounted.

I think she's shit.

Yes.

as a pundit?

No, but it's going to be difficult being a good pundit on your first go whilst sat next to Michael Johnson.

Denise is very stupid. Quite watchable though

Johnson is the nuts

Colin Jackson is the anti-nuts, for me.

What do people think to Cram as a commentator?  I think he's improved a hell of a lot and think he does a good job now.
