Apparently this is a case from last year. I don't recall another thread about it, but apologies if this has come up before.

The judge will be deciding if he should stand trial tommorow.

Crazy shit, shows you how deep people can get into debt. Hope he rots if he's guilty obv.

A lot of people are serial nippers, owing big sums of money round to others. Other's are up to their eyeballs with loan sharks etc...

I don't want to mention names but I could name 10 poker faces that you see on TV etc that are constantly skint. It amazes me how they stump up buy ins to keep degenning it up around the country.

In fact one of the more famous UK pros got in big trouble with a casino when he got in a lot of debt that his family had to bail him out when it was about to get nasty.

It is not particularly suprising that this is the case. Trying to make a living out of playing live mtts, without some form of backing/sponsorship is just pure madness unless you are extremely good and very well rolled initially.

I mean these are people are playing as many mtt's a years as Moorman would play in a fortnight online and i am sure any online Mtt pros on here could show some periods of pretty sick variance, while still being big winners in the long term.

Add in to that overheads, bad vices and not being as good as they think they are, you might as well put the lot on red and hope to biiink.

In poker there are gamblers who play poker and poker players - Gamblers are more likely to hit the big one off paydirt while poker players make a regular ,smaller profit

Does annoy me a tad when magazines interview some stars and they are clearly the one gambler come good but never acknowledge for every one that makes it there are 1000s who have ruined their lives in search of the dream
