I've often mentioned the war when playing Germans and gotten away with it but I'm English.  As a Scotsman and with all due respect, you're on shaky ground with war related abuse given that Scotland's own ability to wage war as an independent nation was effectively ended by England some 240 years before the Falklands conflict.  I would stick to more conventional methods of abuse and steer clear of politics and or sport.
