Calum is a footballer, currently West Ham but many clubs in recent years , many of us luton regulars know well. he plays there frequently
Last night he, and two members of his family, were stabbed in their home near Bedford
Calum is in a bad way, the artery in his leg has been severed
Two men have been arrested today
Best wishes to him and family

Yep, sickening when I heard this earlier. Feel for the guy, hope him and his family get well soon and the people that done it get hung from the ceiling by their balls.

sigh, got a phone call earlier telling me about this, am shocked. Know Calum from Luton & socially too, His wife is pregnant at the moment with their second child. Saw him last week and he was in great spirits despite not being in the first team squad at West Ham. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Obv very sad, especially for those of you that knew him personally - thoughts go out.
Does anyone know what the motive for this was?? Was it completely random - I cant see anything in any of the reports I read.

Something to do with his sister's boyfriend - think the Star said that Davenport and his mum wanted the sister to dump him. Or something.

yeah i cant see it being random, would have to be a pretty big coincidence to break into a premier league footballers gaff and just stab him in the legs.

Yeah obv, it reminded me of older times/in films where gangsters get him to say fix a match, he fucks up so they stab him in both legs.
It's a bit like putting a horses head on your pillow in footballers terms.
