How did the Charlton fans & people who've seen him play rate him?

We've had Matt Holland & Chris Iwelomu  praising him in the papers up here.

If he does well he'll probably earn a lot for the club (which is no doubt what the beancounters are thinking), but I've read that Mowbray tried to sign him for West Brom as well.

absolute quality. would be at a premiership club now if it wasn't for his injury, if he stays fit he'll prove to be a really great signing for you

never understood why we didn't exploit the fact that we had the chinese national captain playing for us, he has to be worth so much in merchandising

any idea where you've signed him to play? I'd say he works best as an attacking midfielder but we also used him as a 2nd striker and he's played in defence. he looks useful anywhere on the pitch

We've just sold Donati from the midfield, and lost Nakamura from the strip selling attacking midfield, & sent out O'Dea to Reading on loan from central defence where we're short on cover unless Lescott's 18 year old  cousin Josh Thompson from Stockport starts well (he's a freaking monster of a boy btw!).

So I think that if he does well we may get a chance to see him play all over the park, but attacking midfield seems most likely.

not the wrong player as he's the only chinese player ever at charlton (and in the prem??), it's just that you've made up all of the facts

he played in midfield, he never got near 20 games in the prem, he did score and was bloody good

well done on getting the chinese bit right though
