I heard it said of Rex Ryan that if it wasn't for his dad's career there's no way Rex would be a head coach in the NFL and instead would be shoveling hay on his farm.

I happen to disagree, no way would that muppet have his own farm. He'd be shovelling hay on someone else's farm.

His dad was a bit of a headcase and his son seems to be no different. Will upset to many people and his tactics too short term to ever truly succeed imo.

In my opinion one player that is very unlucky not to be going is MLB Curtis Lofton of Atlanta, it is tough to knock the 2 players picked in that spot but this guy is awesome on a bad defence.

Talking of top defensive players Nebraska play their bowl game tonight and Ndomakuh Suh is already being touted as the top D pick in next years draft, I have only seen him play 2-3 times but he is superb. Do you think he could go overall number 1 next year Rich?

Based solely off highlights footage, and what the "experts" say, he should

Unless of course the Rams, likely No 1 pick, want a quarterback and there is one worth picking there

Overall indications are it is a good draft with a lot of difference makers down to pick 20 or so, mainly in the defensive front seven

Look out for a guy called Eric Berry, a safety. Meant to be the best since Ronnie Lott and talk he could go number two which is unheard of for a safety

Thing to remember about the Pro Bowl is some names get in on reputation/amount of primetime games they are seen in etc

For example the Cowboys have six in and its a stretch to say all six are deserving.

I will keep an eye on Eric Berry, who does he play for?

As for reputation you are spot on. I think Ray Lewis has declined quite a way this year and even tho he is still a great player I won't be shocked if next season turns out to be his last at the top level.

Eric Berry=Tennessee Safety. Meant to hit like a truck and cover like a corner back eg Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu

Did you not watch the Baltimore game on Sunday? He has over 600 more all purpose yards than Ricky this season.

After RW took over from Brown I would like to see the stats!
