Was when I was younger not any more, old man had a club from when I was 8 got pretty nifty up until I got serious with Rugby and drinking when I was 16. Had tons in practice but was never dedicated enough to have made anything out of it. The top boys were just a different gravy! |

Was when I was younger not any more, old man had a club from when I was 8 got pretty nifty up until I got serious with Rugby and drinking when I was 16. Had tons in practice but was never dedicated enough to have made anything out of it. The top boys were just a different gravy! Oh yeah, such a huge gap between good amateur, and pro. It's ridic. Love beating the guys who have been playing snooker for the last x amount of yrs tho. We have some guys that come in that make me laugh - Have to have match table, have to have table heater on, and have to bring their own balls! Like wtf, you can't even break over 35. |

Haha we had plenty of those, two old guys who I distinctly remember telling me when I was clocking their billl up 'Had my highest break with our set I can't break 20 with your club ones'.
The mug had knocked the colours in for a 27 and thought it was because he had top of the range balls!!
Used to hate me when I was a kid cause I got good quite quickly. I used to have a beer crate I would carry round the table and stand on lol. Typical kid just wanted to smash the balls round the table and hit the back of every pocket. The old timers used to moan like women if they drew me in a comp!

Haha, beer crate, excellent! Loving playing darts just as much as snooker! Never played darts before but picking it up quite well and had a few 180's  |

Yeah I used to mark the board when I was like 14 for my uncle's team at the club. They used to take me for a curry at the end of the night lol I did play for a couple seasons after I left the Navy but wasn't ever consistent, just used to like the crack I did play snooker last year for some guys I used to play with a few years back. I found it infuriating tbh, I didn't have a 50 break in like 8 matches.  |
