Bears' defensive end Gaines Adams died this morning after he was taken to the emergency room at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood, S.C., according to Greenwood County Coroner James T. Coursey. He was 26.

It remains unclear how or why Adams, who was the fourth overall pick in the 2007 draft out of Clemson, died. An autopsy is expected.

The Bears' traded a second-round draft pick in the 2010 draft to the Buccaneers for Adams in October. He was expected to play a big role for the Bears next season.

Coursey said Adams appeared to be in perfect health. The Greenwood Sheriff's Office and the Greenwood County Coroner's Office.

The cause of death is believed to be a heart attack.

R.I.P

I saw a report that said it was down to an enlarged heart, sounds a bit strange that.

prices atm:

Indy 3.25
Saints 3.4
Chargers 5.0
Vikings 6.0
jets 26.0

How can the chargers be 4-1 when they have to win this game, away at Indy then the bowl, gotta be a lay or am i going mad?

On top of all that neither team really has "star power" if you mentioned all the good NFL teams to even the most casual of observers they will be able to to tell you a name from that team, someone who is exciting to watch and can turn games around, i am struggling for that name from either team.

If I give you the Vernon Da and the Brandon Ma parts will that help you get the rest?

For chargers to be 4-1 they would have to be evens to win in Indy next week, how is that possible?

I presume the AFC team are going to start faves in the superbowl, but yeah looks like a good lay.

Doubt Chargers will start faves in Indy, line will be something like +3. I would have thought.

When you're totting up number of superstars on a team, you do realise the ones in the owners boxes don't really count right?
