So, my 21st birthday is on 30th December this year and I really have no clue what to do. Because of the timing i've never had a party before and usually just go for a meal with the family. I'm always bothered that people will be too busy around new year etc so I never make a big fuss of things, this year the parentals won't let me get away with it and want to do something to celebrate my birthday. Any ideas blondites?

I know this might seem a little boring but as you're sandwiched between Xmas and New Years why not have a big house party or night out for your birthday 2 weeks later?

nearly this.  my birthday is three days before christmas, so trying to round up people for a night out is a nightmare. I wanted to do something when I turned 30 though, so hired a hall in a hotel to have a party.  They couldn't accommodate me for December in any case as they were choca for xmas dos, so I celebrated at the end of November instead. I'd go for November rather than January, as too many people are skint in the new year.

I didn't say what the night out would involve though.

Plenty of strippers.

mcdonalds in the afternoon then drink 1/2 a bottle of vodka in your bedroom and go round to an ex's house to smash up her boyfriends car, if the cars not there throw stones at her house, thats parts flexible really, do what you feel when you turn up, improvise.

I spent the week before my 21st touring round the highlands with some mates on some very large motorbikes either stoned, drunk or both. Spent the day itself wandering round the Burrell stoned in the afternoon and toured four casinos in Glasgow drunk in the evening.

A week later had a party at home in Leicester.......it was mental. Everybody said "what did you do for your 21st?" I replied "oh, I spent it in Glasgow"......resulting look on face was priceless.

It is important at this crucial time in your life that you find your inner self and tell it to bugger off. Go and do what YOU want. When the moment has gone you can't have it again......so have a blast and make it last as long as possible

Seriously though, make sure you do what you want, not what parents etc want.
