Hi guys, firstly, nice to meet you cos, althought i havent got a fking clue what ur on about...please translate. Mariners, my shirt > yours Tongue. Tikay, get lost for putting me in a photoe with the handsome mr Masterman, unfair. Just want to say a big ty to one of the genuine nice guys in poker imo, KerryTaylor, who offered and just gave me a lift back to north london as a favour no problems, when he lives near heathrow, gent.

To the poker, 3k starting stack, pretty immense structure imo, the 25/25 level at the beginning giving just enough depth for it to be truly playable the whole way through. Standard was atrocious, 2 guys on my table limp call check folding 90% of hands. I chipped away ok to begin with, went form 3 to 5 to 7 to 10 then knocked out Ali to get to 12ish. Then 1st blip, tight utg (3.5k) opens 200 @25/50, i flat QQ, frazer overcalls bu. Flop 347hh, opener leads, i raise small, frazer ships. I did tank for a tadge but i think there are way too many heart combos he has, i was right, but he had 56hh and i get minor rubdown from both him and utg (who had 99) about i shoulda reraised pre (god it even tilts me to type that lol, 3b ffs) and then apparently the 99 guys woulda stop and go'd on my ass. Hmmmmmmm. No i didnt get it either. Then lost AQ v QQ of nutter, then chipped up/3b/did a couple of fun things on the flop to get to about 20k when i isolate someloose passive guy otb with 59cc, bb coldcalls, fish folds. Flop comes 5Q10ddd, he check calls and im giving up on the K turn, check check, i bink the 5 river and get a chunk; sadly and unfortunately, image was shattered and i got in a few shit spots after because i didnt adjust in time. Peaked at about 24 when i played out a big pot with JJ on an A27ssA4s board and had to check fold to some decentish old-school guy that just cannoned the river. Bit of a sigh, fold, get shown complete air, table gets a laugh, i tilt off a few k Smiley Get a lot of new faces including a very open yank, joe grech and an english youngster all on my right. Pretty perfect for me as im down to 7k and get to jam a lot as they are opening so wide. Have to sit back and watch as Ian Frazer gets birthday present after birthday present, although tbh, i think he played pretty well today. Given the only info i have on him is tv donkaments (AQ anyone?) i was really suprised, 100% not a mark. Oh, about the birthday presents, how about this. Internet yank opens 1500 @ 300/600, Frazer 3b to 5200 (20k eff), literally the 2nd time hes 3b all day, yank 11.8k, frazer jams, yank calls. Frazer KK, yank J8s, no miracles. HOW THE FUCK. Also, this little beauty, utg opens in 50/100, frazer, french looking tightish guy and random calls calls. Flop J87dds. EP cbets small, frazer calls, french guy calls, random folds. Turn . EP bets, frazer raises, french guy calls, EP folds. River 10d. Frazer bets, frenchie dwells for eternity, then jams, frazer calls w A9 ro rivered 1 card straight after funky turn move. Frenchies hand. 44. Words out of his mouth immediately after "i thought i could make you fold the straight". I kid u not.

Couple of things that were vaguely interesting/odd, huck seed comes to table (namedrop obv), asked for my autograph, on his way over stumbles and knocks some of his chips (like 4/5) out of his tray onto the floor. Then summons a bargirl to pick them up, erm? Then played prety horribly, limp calling a bb shove from the SB with 105 and 10bb. As hes leaving the "razer" says "did you know he just won the latest heat of late night poker on TV?", Joe Grech then pipes in "So what he won a stupid comp on TV, doesnt mean hes any fu**ing good". I did laugh a bit and it was slightly awkward Smiley

So got a double up late on jamming a6 and Kj calls, i hold. Then 3b jam super wide w yanks opens with air as im carddead for last 3 levels to stay afloat. Back on day 2 with 15k, 40 out of 300 runners make the trip back, in with a shout, which is all i want. Great seeing some of the nice guys in poker (Tikay excluded Tongue ) and lets hope JP kelly somehow manages to fuckup a virtually anassailable (sp?) chip lead! Smiley not really, hes a nice guy, he can take 2nd. Any of you thinking about playing tomorrow, do it, field was super soft in general, probably tougher to play a 50fo on stars.

Next up I bumped into Alan 'Lucky' McBride and we chatted briefly before he took me over to see Alex Martins table. He was going nicely on 9k thanks to one hand which me and Alan caught the end of. I'll do my best to report the hand as Alex explained when he came and said hi to us on the rail. "I'll cut a long story short - I decided to isolate a mid position limp from the BB, purely for metagame purposes as my opponent was playing an exploitable 34/9 style. Before you ask boys, I was intent I could still take a profitable line playing semi-deep/shallow OOP with a mediocre holding. Anyway after c-betting a double bellybuster gutshot draw I decided to make use of my scarlet-pimpernell-like image and checkraise the turn as the marginal line of EV I was taking appears stronger against a semi-weak lagtard fishstick opponent. The river was where it really got interesting for though - he opted to induce a bluff based on a read of tendencies and treat the hand as is played in a vacuum of a single raised orbit in which the aggressor became the aggressee. I wasn't going to stand for that so I min 3-bet bluffed to induce a 4-bet bluff. I then decided to 5-bet bluff all in cos, well, fuck it. I won".

I'm Always grateful when someone simplifies one of Alex's hands....
