Man Utd had the least injury time in the prem last season at home, fact.
Hughes needs to stop whinging and realise the best team won.
If they were ahead by 1 goal in most games wouldn't it support his point?

Yeah but a lot more likely that the opposition will be wasting time if they are winning at old trafford. Sample sizes for this are terrible as well.

Lets see if we can work out some maths here.... Liverpool v West Ham at the weekend in the 1st half there was 4 goals and West Ham had to make two subs due to injury. This all equates to 1 min added time hmmmm.
the ref in the liverpool game not being able to add up has no bearing on whether the ref in the united game was right the whole thing is lol really. both teams got the same amount of added time. he didn't let united play on for a bit while city sat in the changing rooms I can understand when people have moaned in the past about united getting added time in games they were trailing but it makes no sense in games that are all square, no team gains an advantage if city had scored a late winner would hughes have moaned about how united got too much time? also bear in mind that when 4 minutes of additional time is indicated that is a minimum. the ref may well be planning on playing 4.55 but would still have to display 4.00 as it is done in whole minutes and the amount played cannot be less than that displayed

I disagree when the fan looked like he was going to spit on him. We are not talking about giving the guy a kicking here, he gave him a 'cowtail' as put by darren gough.
El Hadj Diouf always looks like he's about to spit at somebody, does that mean it's okay for anyone to slap him anytime ?

I believe the clock should be stopped between the goal being scored and the kick off being taken as the game is stopped rather than the ball just being out of play. this is why everyone is referring to the length of the celebration I'm not 100% sure on this though as you often see players rushing to get the ball out of the net and back to the centre spot though it wouldn't be surprising if players didn't actually know the rules

Sigh, they should just get rid of this nonsense and have 2x 15 or 20 minutes pure playing time...problem (if there is one) solved.

I'm pretty sure that Dermot Gallagher said that 45 secs. was added on for Bellamy's goal celebration.

I would hate this it'd be all gay like american sports with players running down the clock with the crowd counting down the last 10 seconds and everyone knowing exactly what the situation is. takes away all the suspense at the end of tight games

Yea but is that the standard addon ? Or was it something just magiced out of thin air purely because anything goes at Old Trafford?

TBH, I'd hate it as well but to say it takes away the suspense at the end of a game is of course incorrect.

of course they do but they never know how long to do it for so there's still some interest

To try to suggest this extra time would have benefitted anyone other than Utd at that particular time is pretty ridiculous.
