I also thought that Vince Cable came across very well indeed in his keynote speech a week or so back but it seems as though the Lib-Dem supporters bottle it when it comes to actually voting and vote for one of the other two at the polls.
only party I could/would vote for in a general election at the moment. always feels like a bit of a wasted vote though tbh.

I've completely lost track of everything to do with politics since they canned spitting image.
That was the greatest educational program ever.
How many people now actually recognise politicians? Back then I could name them all.
very much this I reckon from the current cabinet I could recognise brown and darling. I'm actually struggling to name any others let alone know what they look like balls and milliband too, surely? I'd struggle to recognise anyone in the shadow cabinet nowadays. there's someone in the cabinet called balls? lol no idea what milliband looks like. is he not a tory? New Labour Tory rather than Conservative Tory: Ed Balls: Click to see full-size image. |

Saw a bit of conference on the telly box last night. Eddie Izzard was there to present some award or another and asked Ed if he'd considered changing his name 'to Steve Balls, or something'

I thought that Brown's speech at the Labour Conference yesterday was very impressive in both delivery and content.
It reminded me of a test batsman on a run of low scores who knows that he must have a big innings or be dropped.
I thought he passed the test with flying colours and feel that he could possibly turn public opinion around as Cameron comes across to me as rather glib and shallow by comparison to Brown's apparent sincerity and dedication to the cause.
I also thought that Vince Cable came across very well indeed in his keynote speech a week or so back but it seems as though the Lib-Dem supporters bottle it when it comes to actually voting and vote for one of the other two at the polls.
Dont think I agree on the Brown thing, looked to me more like a man who was kidding himself. Definately agree on the Lib-Dem thing, if i could be bothered to vote, it would be for them. They deserve a chance as at least they dare to think differently to the increasing bland blurred line between Labour/Conservatives.

But surely the lib-dems can come out with whatever policies they want as they know they aren't going to be elected. But yes, they are the most appealing party for me as well.

The Lib Dems would have a fighting chance if Vince Cable was leader.

do you not feel there are slightly more important issues on which to decide which way you vote than the hunting ban?
