Day 2 today will be interesting. Carter Phillips was mightily impressive in Barcelona when he had chips and went on to win. He has a huge lead here - 195,000 to the nearest 130,000 (Antony Lellouche) - and he could, just could, become the first player ever to win two EPTs.

Two things really:

1 Gotta stick to the published structure

2 It's a really tight casino here and running with more than 200 players at once would have been very, erm, "cosy".

are you out there barry?

if you get a chance check out the casino under the hilton on plac grzybowska. gorgeous casino with a great little cardroom and if they could move out the gaming tables temporarily it's where I think they should move the ept to

when I used to play there we'd get 6 tables comfortably in the cardroom plus 2-3 in an area just next to it. 15 tables is gonna be very tight unless they've moved the roulette

With yet another minimal turnout in Poland from UK based players it had me pondering     ......        why?

Is it the Pokerstars 'stranglehold' (online qualifers ,and hordes of Pokerstar team pros) on the tour, the entry fee, or are there too many events closer to home for the Brits to be bothered?
