I bought one man, thought it would reduce the clutter on my desk + good for hotkeys or whatever. I've only used it a couple of times though, doesn't make all that much difference, just use the numberpad on my keyboard...

Functionality wise though it's good, it was like £15 on Amazon, Logitech...

I want it for when I'm lounging on the sofa with the lappy on the coffee table so I can enter bet amounts without having to sit up. should get a fair bit of use

Make sure buy one with a pointing device built in - I have one used once without if you want it.

Used to use one on my laptop when I worked for my last company.  I did lots of figures with it so it was rather handy at the time.    Haven't used or had the need for one since mind you.
