Referring to King's £35,000 wage packet and the fact his contract will be revoked costing him more than £1million, the judge added: "I appreciate this will cost you an enormous amount of money, but it is difficult to be sympathetic when you were boasting about your earnings in the way you did."

He told the player in addition to the jail sentence, he would have to register as a sex offender for seven years, pay £3,125 compensation to his victim and £1,800 prosecution costs.

The guy sounds like pure scum, this is his 16th conviction and a lot of them to do with assualting women. He will obv get another club when he comes out but it will be in the lower leagues.

I was at Lee Hughes' comeback game for Oldham, or at least one of his first games back at Walsall a year or too back, he came on as a sub and was resoundly booed by all, even some Oldham fans.  I saw them 3 weeks later and hardly a boo, plus he was loudly cheered when he scored.

King will find a new club, someone willing to 'give him a chance', he'll get some goals and all will be forgotten... Until he does something again, looks like one who will never learn...
